The Spirit of Christmas

I’m not a religious person. At all.

But the spirit of Christmas is not lost on me.

We’re all running commercial operations, so it’s very easy to get caught up in ‘receiving’ as much as we can.

It’s also the season for giving. So I’m giving some food for thought.

Try creating a segment of your very best customers. Perhaps based on the number or frequency of orders? Or on their lifetime value?

You decide how you define ‘best’ and the tolerance levels. But these are the people who keep you in business.

What are you giving them for Christmas?

Perhaps consider giving them a $5 or a $10 Gift Card. Without conditions. It’s the thought that matters more than the monetary value.

They probably deserve it. Will almost certainly appreciate it. And the spirit of goodwill may just be returned next year – probably in spades!

If nothing else, perhaps send them a personalised Christmas Message (ie. probably text based) and/or ask them what they’d like from your store next year.

Food for thought?

I wish you a very Merry Christmas and a rewarding and fulfilling New Year.
